Since the launching of its first store launch in June 1969, Gang Dong-O Cake has opened a new chapter that has upgraded the level of general bakeries with its high-class bakery and confectionary business, and with a management philosophy of “With our all hearts and the best technologies, let’s create excellent products and services to become a world-class corporation.”
Poongnyun Bakery has set the corporation goal of responding to the customers’ various demands as an honest companion, while encouraging our excellent team of staff to always serve customers kindly, choose materials carefully, and equip facilities with state-of-the-art equipment. To achieve this goal, the products available from Poongnyun Bakery are made personally by bakers who have the qualification of a Korean Master Craftsman and Confectioner.
Poongnyun Bakery has been steadily gaining recognition from customers for its time-honored traditions and new technologies, and we will make even greater efforts to show the world the best services as a frontrunner in the confectionery business, with that attitude of launching a new start every day.

As a the Poongnyun Bakery in Jeonju-si, Gang Dong-O Cake obtained certification as an INNO-BIZ (innovative small/medium business) and as the first R&D center for Korean confectionery masters.
Notably, our R&D center concluded a research MOU with the National Institute of Crop Science, Rural Development Administration, and has also been awarded various patents through its joint R&D efforts to develop new products/technologies.
By a steady R&D process using diverse domestic raw materials, including wheat and rice, Gang Dong-O Cake is dedicated to keep providing honest food to all of its customers at home and abroad.

Its fundamental shape is a circle that represents the earth, where the Korean crops (grains of rice and wheat) will become ripe. Within the shape, there is an image of the Chinese character ‘正’ (sound: jeong, definition: right) to express the honest heart of a farmer raising crops, and our will to ensure upright management and create the right food products.
As for the colors, we have chosen those that symbolize a fertile autumn field where the grain is becoming ripe, close to the sun that contributes to the richness of the grain and delivers a feeling of abundance and composure. Also, an orange tone was added to emphasize warmth, along with modernity, to represent our earnest corporate image that is combined with long history and traditions.
